Director, Internal & Leadership Communication
Are you ready to lead the internal communication agenda at Danish Crown during a transformation? Do you have the skills to drive and manage different communication channels in one of Denmark’s largest companies, together with a highly skilled team? And do you have the authority to advise top leaders on how to communicate with impact? Then you might be our next Director of Internal & Leadership Communication.
In autumn 2024, Danish Crown initiated a three-phase transformation programme aimed at deepening business insight, restoring competitiveness, and building a simpler, more effective, and accountable operating model.
We are currently in the second phase of this transformation, and as Director of Internal & Leadership Communication, you – together with the Corporate Communication team – will play a crucial role in driving its success. With a seat at the table, you will help shape both the strategic direction and the broader corporate communication agenda.
You believe that effective internal communication is key to a high-performing organisation
As our new Director of Internal & Leadership Communication, you will align internal and executive messaging with the company’s vision and strategic priorities, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement across all levels of the organisation.
Not only will you proactively plan, but you will also author a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, announcements, articles, videos, internal social media posts and more – all delivered across numerous communication channels to a broad group of employees, both office and production workers.
Beyond your daily responsibilities, you leverage your strong interpersonal skills to advise leaders across Danish Crown’s business units on internal communication and effective message cascading. You position communication as a core component of effective leadership and champion its value in driving engagement and alignment.
Your tasks will primarily include:
- Supporting the transformation agenda
- Advising top and senior leaders on various communication matters
- Producing a variety of content and managing all internal communication channels
- Leading major communication projects e.g. digitalisation of comms to frontline workers
We are looking for someone who is just as dedicated as we are to transforming one of Denmark’s largest companies – and who can lead our internal communication while producing leadership and employee communications that have a significant impact.
Excellent communication skills with a touch of stakeholder management
You have solid experience from a similar position. Ideally, you have worked with internal communication for 10–15 years in a global organisation or agency, where you have supported a business through a transformation process. You have probably also combined your practical skills with a master’s degree in journalism and/or communication.
A success criterion for this role will be your strong ability to establish value-creating collaborations and be the “go-to person” for communication matters across the Danish Crown Group.
The key to success in this role is your ability to build relationships and navigate a complex stakeholder landscape to achieve direct business influence.
We expect you to be proactive, action-oriented, persistent, and analytical, with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to drive and implement change and transform strategic priorities into practical execution.
Equally important, you are an exceptional networker, communicator, and ambassador who motivates and inspires your team, your colleagues – and Danish Crown as a whole. You communicate effortlessly in English.
