1. About the Role
As a Commercial Tender Engineer at NOV, you’ll be at the heart of winning complex offshore projects that power the global energy industry. Your mission? To develop and manage high-quality, competitive bids that transform technical vision into commercial success.
In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams — from Engineering and Sales to Supply Chain, Legal, and Manufacturing — to deliver detailed proposals that meet exacting customer requirements, tight deadlines, and global industry standards.
What sets this role apart is the breadth of exposure and direct connection to the end product. You’ll work on high-impact global tenders while having the opportunity to see the physical results of your work come to life at our manufacturing sites in Kalundborg (Denmark) and Porto do Açu (Brazil).
You’ll be supported every step of the way with a flat team structure, open communication, and a dedicated onboarding buddy to guide your first few months. Whether you’re refining cost estimates, interpreting technical specs, or aligning with client expectations, your work will have a visible and lasting impact on NOV’s success in the offshore energy space.

4. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit detailed, compliant bids per customer specifications.
- Analyze technical documents and coordinate with Engineering and Supply Chain.
- Compile cost estimates (flexible pipes, structures, testing, etc.).
- Organize internal bid review meetings and proposal documentation.
- Liaise with clients and support bid clarification and negotiation processes.
- Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality and compliance standards.
5. Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Global Business Engineering, Engineering Management, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent).
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, handle pressure, and self-organize.
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree combining engineering with business/global operations.
- Experience in project tendering or cross-functional proposal development.
- Familiarity with offshore energy industry components and requirements.
