Associate Director, New Product Planning

Currently, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Associate Director in New Product Planning to join our team in Denmark. This position sits within our Commercial department and reports directly to the Head of New Product Planning (NPP).
In this role, you will work closely with our Research & Development (R&D) colleagues, bringing commercial insights and market perspectives into the early stages of asset development. You will lead cross-functional teams to evaluate early market opportunities, shape product strategies, and ensure alignment with broader corporate objectives. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future pipeline of an innovative pharmaceutical organization. Responsibilities
- Conduct market, competitive, and portfolio analyses to support decision-making for pipeline and business development initiatives.
- Assist teams with developing product strategies that align with corporate goals and long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with R&D colleagues to integrate scientific, clinical, and market insights into early-stage asset development plans to optimize their future market potential.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership to inform portfolio and investment decisions.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities for growth.
Candidate profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong understanding of both Commercial and R&D functions.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market landscape and drug development lifecycle.
- Proven track record within new product planning, strategic marketing, competitive insights, or portfolio management.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to engage stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Master degree in life sciences or a related field is preferred
