Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end mechanical design of products and tooling, with a strong focus on manufacturability and metal forming processes.
- Create and manage detailed 3D models and technical drawings using PTC Creo .
- Conduct forming simulations using Copra® FEM to assess feasibility and optimize tool geometries.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity, forming behavior, and overall product performance.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to optimize process routes, tolerance stacks, and cost targets.
- Lead design reviews , DFMEA/DFMA activities, and support design verification testing , including documentation and corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tooling design workflows, internal standards, and best practices. Stay up to date with emerging materials, forming technologies, and industry standards to drive innovation in tooling solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical product design and manufacturing process development.
- Industry knowledge in metal forming , roll forming , stamping , or related manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Proficiency in PTC Creo or other parametric CAD software for modeling and drafting.
- Hands-on experience with Copra FEM or equivalent roll-forming simulation tools is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated capability in FEA for structural and forming analysis.
- Solid understanding of production methods such as machining , forming , and assembly .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in international, cross-functional teams .
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Danish is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
