Senior Sustainability Specialist (Maternity cover)
At Danish Crown, we are challenging ourselves and taking the lead in finding future proof solutions. As an important part of our commitment to responsible business practices, we are looking for a Senior Sustainability Specialist for a maternity cover.
Support compliance projects and strategic sustainability initiatives
You will be a part of the Sustainability, ESG and Commercial Sustainability team in Danish Crown, Group Sustainability. Our team is responsible for our commitment to SBTi, compliance with sustainability related legislation, ESG reporting and commercializing sustainability activities.
The role includes cross-functional project management, and you will collaborate with colleagues across departments, business units, and countries – and help ensure smooth project execution in a complex, fast-evolving sustainability landscape.
Depending on your interests and level of ambition, it will be possible to take on greater responsibility within prioritized areas.
- Lead our 2025/26 sustainability statement, which is an integrated part of our Annual Report
- Coordinate sustainability data collection and reporting across business functions. This includes leading the update and maintenance of our internal ESG reporting standards and training material
- Support the implementation of our SBTi-aligned decarbonisation efforts and reporting
- Contribute to projects related to CSRD and ESRS implementation
- Support the implementation of our human and labour rights due diligence framework
- Develop a communication plan and draft news, articles and updates on sustainability, prepare presentation materials, dashboards, and memos for management and stakeholders
- Provide project management support and assist with internal documentation
- Monitor regulatory developments and support alignment with EU directives
Travel activity is expected to be limited (approximately 10–15 days per year). The position is located at our HQ in Randers or our office in Copenhagen, depending on your preference.
- Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, law, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working with sustainability, ESG, or compliance projects
- Experience with data and carbon accounting, including Scope 3 methodologies
- Experience working with CSRD/ESRS and/or CSDDD
- Proven project management skills, with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken
- Structured, proactive, and hands-on approach to your work
