Our Global Livestock Research Department at Novonesis is looking for a committed and skilled Scientist with a passion for exploring innovative biological solutions for poultry.
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate would be curious, driven, and possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Have a strong background with emphasis on poultry nutrition and familiarity with contract- and university research collaborations.
Welcome to Animal Bioslolutions, Applied Research
We are dedicated to supporting the development of biological solutions (probiotics, enzymes and other biological solutions) that enhance animal health, nutrition and sustainability. Our team consists of 14 experienced scientists and research associates based in Lyngby (Denmark) and the United States.
As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting key scientists and driving the pipeline of new product development. These include enzymes, probiotics, and other innovative biological solutions for poultry. You will provide strong knowledge of feed, animal nutrition and physiology as well as a broad knowledge of poultry production. We emphasize close collaboration across functions, disciplines, and time zones, and provide numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.
In this role you’ll make an impact by :
Contributing to the development of innovative biological solutions for production animals by leveraging your expertise in feed ingredients and nutrition, while collaborating within cross-functional project teams.
Driving the design, analysis, and reporting of animal research trials in collaboration with external research organizations, universities and with our internal site w hen relevant
Communicating your knowledge and research results both internally and externally, including via scientific papers
Keeping up to date on scientific literature within the field
Having an innovative mindset
To succeed you must have:
PhD within poultry nutrition and physiology
A collaborative, positive and open mindset
A strong team ethic with good communication and networking skills
Broad knowledge, and a proven scientific track-record, within the field of animal science
Experience with planning and conducting animal trials is a plus
A professional network with universities and research organizations; industry experience is considered an advantage
Knowledge of nutritional laboratory analysis
Familiarity with feed enzymes and/ or probiotics is a plus
Competency in the application of statistics, data management and use of analytical software (e.g. SAS, JMP, R or Python)
