The role
As Regional Distribution Manager for DACH and Rest of World (including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France & Benelux), you will be responsible for both the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of distribution and warehousing operations within the regions. Working closely with our Global Distribution & Logistics team, you will support the efficient flow of products into regional third-party logistics (3PL) providers and warehouses. Additionally, you will oversee product movement throughout the 3PL network and to our customers, ensuring optimal inventory levels, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will drive distribution performance, foster cross-functional collaboration, and implement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency. You will report to the Senior Director, Head of SC DACH & RoW, and can be located in Denmark or Germany.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end distribution and delivery of products to customers within the DACH & RoW region, ensuring high OTIF service levels and alignment with business objectives
Partner with Global Distribution & Logistics to coordinate the inbound flow of goods into regional warehouses and 3PL facilities
Monitor and manage regional inventory levels to balance product availability, minimize excess or obsolete stock, and control costs
Lead and oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and smooth customs clearance
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., CMOs, 3PLs, carriers, customs brokers) to ensure timely and compliant distribution activities
Utilize data analysis and KPIs to identify inefficiencies, improve logistics performance, and support strategic decision-making
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are a plus
7+ years of experience in distribution/logistics, with regional or multi-country scope—ideally in pharma, life sciences, or FMCG
Proven track record managing 3PLs and coordinating cross-functional supply chain operations
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, inventory management, and demand planning
Experience working in regulated environments with a solid understanding of compliance and quality standards
Proficient in ERP/supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Analytical and data-driven, with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; fluency in English and German required
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international setting
