Could you be the Project Validation & Commissioning (V&C) Manager we are looking for in Copenhagen?
Your future role
Alstom is helping railway infrastructure managers in Denmark and Norway to upgrade their signalling systems with digital technology to improve passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.
As a Project V&C Manager you will apply your skills to deliver these signalling projects. Your main role will consist in defining and managing the implementation of the complete validation strategy from factory tests to final site acceptance with the customer.
We’ll look to you for:
Strategy:
- Define the Project Verification and Validation (V&V) and Test & Commissioning (T&C) strategies in the project plans to ensure test coverage and demonstration that requirements are met through factory and site activities.
- Optimize allocation of tests in-house and on-site favouring labs to anticipate results and increase efficiency.
- Define and maintain the schedule for V&V and T&C activity schedule together with project manager agreeing on deadlines and time slots for execution of V&C activities.
- Ensure the application and adherence to internal processes and applicable norms, methods & tools.
- Define needs in terms of lab equipment and test tools.
Execution:
- Coordinate the execution and reporting of all planned Validation & Commissioning activities.
- Manage internal interfaces with other teams (e.g design, safety) and external partners or subcontractors.
- Represent Alstom in front of customers and auditors, to provide overview of Test strategy, progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards and rules for field test activities
Management:
- Participate to the skill assessment and manage functionally the Project V&C team.
- Select and manage subcontractors.
- Manage V&C work package and responsible of QCD commitments,
- Anticipate issues and report on a regular basis to the Project Core Team.
- Collect V&C feedback for project return of experience sessions and propose improvement actions.
The work involves travel to project sites and work on or along railway tracks (outdoor or inside technical buildings).

- Master degree in Engineering or computer science
- Senior experience in Test & commissioning (T&C), Verification & Validation (V&V) or system integration in railway signalling or another industry with high safety, reliability, and performance standards (aerospace, defence, nuclear)
- Knowledge of quality, EHS and safety standards in railway industry
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Leadership, team motivator.
- Excellent oral and written English skills. Proficiency in Danish, Norwegian or Swedish is also desirable
- Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long missions in different locations and countries (Nordics)
