As our new Network Engineer, you will be part of the Digital Engineering arm of Project Delivery & Engineering where we stand at the forefront of working towards a fossil-free future. We are dedicated to executing major global infrastructure projects, navigating a dynamic and challenging environment to guarantee safety, promptness, quality, and budget compliance.

Within our Digital Engineering division, we specialize in delivering and integrating digital solutions aimed at facilitating renewable energy production and ensuring dependable operations. We oversee the whole value chain, from bid acquisition to asset construction and operation. Our focus lies on Operational Technology (OT) and IT, harnessing control and analytic modelling synergies to optimize engineering design through comprehensive data integration.

As one of the key functions in Vattenfall’s wind business, Digital Technology Engineering is responsible for supporting wind projects, operational sites and other business units in managing SCADA equipment, communication and respective infrastructure.

Qualifications

Your role / what will you do? 

As a Network Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the secure and cost-effective operation of the network Infrastructure, guaranteeing continuous data availability via the data center throughout the lifespan of our wind farms.

Working closely with your colleagues, you will focus on the operations of both onshore and offshore wind portfolios. You will collaborate extensively with team members during the project design and delivery phases. Your work will involve network systems, specifically the Vattenfall network for substation control systems, automation systems on substations, auxiliary systems, and turbine control systems.

 

Your responsibility will also include:

 

Your profile / who are you?
You possess a degree in Engineering or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within the energy sector. Additionally, you have excellent communication skills and can effectively interact with representatives from various professional groups, external business partners, and colleagues.


In addition you need to have experience in the following areas:
