Welcome to our Tool Design Center
In the Tool Design Center Team, we focus on providing valuable feedback to Mechanical Designers while designing tools for our production sites. This role is an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical understanding and explore innovative solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues to improve our working standards and share best practices.

You will report to the Manager for the Tool Design Center and be part of a team consisting of 6 Tool Designers & Design of Manufacturing specialists. The position is based at our Head Office in Smørum, Denmark, and we offer flexible work-from-home options, up to two days per week.
Shaping great products – one mould at a time
As a Mould Designer, you will play a key role in supporting both the design and manufacturing processes of plastic components. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with Mechanical Designers to provide design input and designing injection molding tools. You will deliver tool design both to our suppliers and our own internal Tool-Shops.
Your hands-on experience and understanding of the molding process will enable you to contribute valuable insights to our part designers. At the core of our approach is a commitment to Design for Manufacturing — creating functional parts in the most effective and straightforward way.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with R&D during New Product Introduction (NPI) to prepare plastic part designs for manufacturing readiness.
- Delivering tool designs for Hearing Aid parts for internal and external manufacturing.
- Problem-solving technical issues related to tooling and molding.
Bring your skills - we’ll bring the challenge
You are not afraid to give what was thought to be impossible a try, you take pride in delivering a quality product and tackling challenges head-on during product development. A pragmatic mindset and a knack for troubleshooting are key.
You likely have a background in tool design, molding, or a graduate in production technology
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience with designing injection mould tools.
- Practical understanding of plastic part production and tool manufacturing
- Know-how of Design for Manufacturing for plastic and metal stamped parts
- Good CAD skills
- Good written and spoken English
