District Manager for Central and Northern Jutland
Are you a trained chef ready to launch a career as a District Manager? Do you enjoy sales and want to work in a large food company? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.
We are seeking a District Manager for Central and Northern Jutland. As District Manager, your goal is to make OSCAR A/S the preferred supplier of stock, bouillon, soup, and sauce for everything from gourmet restaurants and hotels to cafés and canteens. Drawing on your insight into gastronomic trends, you generate sales through customer visits and promotional activities.
OSCAR is a strong brand and part of Solina, a large international company. “If you’re passionate about professional cooking, we can equip you to become one of the industry’s best salespeople. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own day and gain insight into some of the country’s top kitchens,” says Senior Sales Manager Henrik Rump.
Join a team of skilled chefs
Even though you’ll be working independently on a daily basis, professional sparring is just a phone call away. The sales team consists of six skilled colleagues, all experienced and passionate chefs. Your manager provides sales coaching, and your colleagues in customer service are ready to support you.
You visit kitchens in Central and Northern Jutland
Your day begins at 8 a.m. with your first customer visit. In your car, you’ll have product samples that you’ve carefully selected and prepared at home. You always bring samples of one or more of the approximately 120 specialized items in our product range. Before the day ends, you’ll have visited around six different customers and updated the CRM system with notes from your meetings. Ideally, you live in the same district you’ll be responsible for.
You maintain and develop the customer portfolio
While most of your daily meetings are pre-arranged, you’ll also make a few visits to potential new customers. Expanding the customer base is an important part of your role. Each month, you’ll set aside two days for planning upcoming meetings and sales activities from home.
Freedom and flexibility in your workday
As a District Manager, you select the customers with the most potential and organize your own schedule. You also participate in trade shows and collaborate with colleagues on presentations and promotional activities.
We’ll prepare you well for the sales role
You don’t need to be an experienced salesperson. Your first month will include thorough onboarding, where you’ll be trained in sales techniques and learn about the products by participating in production and joining sales trainers and colleagues on joint visits.
Chef with a flair for sales and strong customer relations
Above all, you have a burning passion for gastronomy, and your willingness to learn is matched by boundless energy. You appreciate structure and thrive on planning being a key ingredient in your daily routine. Outgoing by nature, you already have a large network in the district.
“You’ll be selling high-quality products, and many of your customers are top-level restaurants. That’s why it’s important that your culinary expertise shines through, and that you can discuss the latest gastronomic trends with gourmet chefs at some of the country’s best restaurants,” says Henrik Rump.
In addition, we expect that you:
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Are structured and independent, with a good sense of prioritization and planning
- Have knowledge of and interest in IT and CRM systems
- Are fluent in written and spoken Danish – English is an advantage
